D-016-001 'Megatron'

Ya know, it's been kind of annoying me that, at least lately, all of Megatron's mainstream incarnations have been coming to look more and more EVIL. Like some kind of... sharp-toothed, robo-demon. (He's coming to eat your babies!)

Now, I suppose there's an argument in favor of this... But I also suppose it's probably not that good? It's probably something like: "He's the villain, so why not?"

Well, I'd like to counter with: "Why not... NOT?"

In truth my favorite villains are usually villains with a bit of class and subtlety; guys like Lex Luthor, Moriarty, or Old School Albert Wesker (before he joined the cast of The Matrix.) etc, etc...
Did they need a grill that even Dracula would think excessive to be great villains?

The answer is "no."

And I'm just not super impressed with "Prime" Megatron's design in general so I said: "Screw it, I'm designing my own."

And from here on out in the commentary I'm just going to cut to the chase: Animated Megatron...is awesome.
He's like... what would happen if you combined the incredibly cool Dreamwave interpretation of G1 Megatron with a twisted amalgamation of George S. Patton and Hannibal Lecter.

So in truth? I just made Animated Megatron even more G1 and combined him with Prime/Movie Megs.
I also tried to play up a bit of "Military Dictator" in the details, which I have this whole story for, but really don't have time to tell it right now.

Oh yeah, and his arm cannon is a rail gun and he turns into a cannon. Awesome.

I'll design That later.
